FREE SHIPPING IN CANADA

We offer Free Shipping in Canada on nearly all orders. Exceptions include deliveries to some rural locations, and orders under $150 which are subject to a $29.95 handling fee. Free shipping included on freight deliveries is curbside service. In stock items are normally shipped within 48-72 hours of order. Special order items are drop shipped from the distributor or shipped via Starlight depending on destination. Delivery dates are good faith estimates only and are quoted in "business days" this does not include weekends and statutory holidays. PO Box addresses are not acceptable for delivery

You will receive an email confirming shipment of your order with tracking information within 3-5 business days of submitting your order, unless there is a credit hold or payment information provided requires additional details. Starlight uses CANPAR, Purolator or UPS for most deliveries. These couriers deliver during business hours only and a signature may be required upon delivery of your order. We do not keep inventory on all items. With the exception of showroom stock, all items have specific manufacturer lead times that can range anywhere from 1-8 weeks. Because these lead times change on the regular basis, please contact us for specific lead times. Lead times are estimates only. Manufacturers may indicate longer than stated lead times after orders are placed, subject to demand and availability.

Starlight offers delivery of certain product lines to American customers via purchases made at https:\\modelights.com. Modelights.com is denominated in USD currency so the pricing will not be the same as on Starlightlighting.ca Should you wish to order from a product line not found on www.modelights.com, please contact us at info@starlightlighting.ca or call 1.833.782.7544 for a freight quotation.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY (OUTSIDE USA, CANADA)

Customers not on the North American continent should please contact us about shipping prior to making your purchase. Due to certain supplier restrictions, some products cannot be shipped outside of North America. We do not keep inventory on all items. With the exception of showroom stock, all items have specific manufacturer lead times that can range anywhere from 1-8 weeks. We do not charge sales tax to international purchasers, although they may be liable for import duties on some items. The buyer is responsible for paying import duties from Canada or the United States to their country.

Policies, pricing, and item availability are subject to change without notice, and Starlight Lighting reserves the right to limit quantities. Prices displayed are subject to final approval at the time of order fulfillment. While Starlight Lighting tries in good faith to make sure that the information displayed is accurate, they are not responsible for typographical errors or technical inaccuracies. This disclaimer in no way affects the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, if any.

At Starlight Lighting we do everything in our power to ensure that you're not paying too much for your purchase. That's why we offer our 105% Low Price Guarantee.

If you find a lower advertised price (including shipping, handling, customs fees, discounts and taxes if applicable) on the same item1, simply let us know and we'll gladly meet that price and beat it by an additional 5% of the difference!

The items must meet the following criteria to qualify:

  1. The product is in stock and available for immediate shipment from the competitor.
  2. The product is not a close out, discontinued or clearance item.
  3. The advertised price is from an authorized Canadian retailer2 (online or offline).
  4. The price is a published price, and/or you have a written quotation from a competitor. Verbal price quotes are not acceptable.

PRICE ERRORS

Our goal is a 100% error-free Web site. If product price errors are discovered, they are promptly corrected on our systems, and the corrected price will apply. We will notify you if your order includes items that were incorrectly priced.

Orders

Orders are not binding upon Starlight Lighting until accepted. Starlight Lighting reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or refuse service to any customer. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order.

RETURNS AND RESTOCKING POLICY

Starlight Lighting stands behinds its products and will issue a refund, replacement or store credit if you are not satisfied with your purchase and notify us within 48 hours of receipt of product. All returns must be pre-authorized by emailing info@starlightlighting.ca or calling 1.833.782.7544 to obtain a Returned Material Authorization before returning any product.

RE-STOCKING FEES:

A minimum 25% of purchase price restocking fee shall apply on all returns. In addition the actual cost of initial shipping, brokerage fees and customs duties will also be deducted from the refund total. The shipping amounts are order and transportation method specific.

Return shipping is to be pre-paid. We do not accept returns that are shipped C.O.D. or on our account.

Please contact one of our customer care associates and provide:

  • Your original order number (if applicable)
  • Your name (and/or the name the item was ordered under)
  • The product that you are returning

You will be given a return authorization number which you will need to submit with your returned item. PLEASE NOTE: Any item returned without an Authorization Number will be refused and returned to sender.

Apply the label to your package and take it to your nearest post office or courier pick-up centre.
Items must be returned within 15 days of the receipt date of the return authorization being issued.
Returns must be in original condition with all original packaging. If the item cannot be sold "AS NEW," then the item is considered used and may not be eligible to be returned. At our discretion, any item returned that is not in its original packaging and in as-new condition may be subject to additional charges up to 50% of the value of the item.

Return shipping and related fees are your responsibility, so we advise you to use a service that has tracking capabilities for insurance reasons. You are also responsible for insuring the shipment and providing proof of return tracking of the package.

The following are considered NON-RETURNABLE merchandise:

  • Any item that is marked as nonreturnable
  • Any custom made or custom-built fixture
  • Special orders (products we don’t carry in stock), or colours not typically stocked are not returnable.
  • Clearance items, custom quotes, special discounts, and orders of ten or more units
  • Any item that has been installed, had wires cut or otherwise tampered with electrically
  • Any item that is not in resellable condition
  • Any item that is not in its original box with the original packaging materials and assembly instructions
  • Light bulbs, glass, parts and shades
  • Any item without the correct RMA number written on a separate sheet taped to the box

For oversized or freight items, you are responsible for all shipping charges back to our warehouse. You are also responsible for insuring the shipment and for providing proof of return tracking of the package.

INCORRECT AND DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

Please note: Photos are required to process most damage claims and we may be unable to process your request without photos. Take a digital photo of the damaged or defective item for your records and e-mail us a copy at info@starlightlighting.ca.

For larger items that are shipped via freight carrier, you must inspect the item on site, and mark any noticeable defects on the bill of lading. Once you do so, please call our toll free number right away so we can file a claim with the carrier and expedite a replacement immediately.

Damaged Returns:

We endeavor to ensure your package arrives to you safe and intact. Occasionally however, you may receive a product that has been damaged during shipping. In such cases we will make every effort to obtain your replacement as quickly as possible, at no cost to you. In order to satisfy our insurer, damaged goods must be reported to the carrier within 48 hours of delivery. If damage does occur, please review our process below for receiving and returning damaged items:

Outside Damage to Package Only:

If you receive a package with obvious damage to the outside of the box or packaging but believe the item inside is intact, please make written note of this with the courier when signing for your package. If no mention is made of external damage, we cannot be responsible for any product damage and will not accept a return or issue a refund.

Damage to Package and Contents:

If a package appears significantly damaged, you may refuse delivery of the item. It will then be returned to the place of origin. Please notify us immediately if this occurs and we will make arrangements for a replacement to be sent to you as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Original product lead times may apply on the replacement product.

Damage to Contents Only:

If your intact package is found to hold damaged contents, DO NOT throw away the original packaging. Please contact us immediately and follow the steps below.

For any of the previous scenarios please follow these return instructions:

  • Take photos of damages to items & photos of any damage to package
  • For damaged orders, keep the original box and all packaging materials for possible inspection by the carrier and/or return to Starlight Lighting
  • Contact us at info@starlightlighting.ca or 1.833.782.7544. Please provide your original order number (if applicable), your name (or the name the item was ordered under), and the product you are returning (with photos). You will be given a return authorization number which you will need to submit with your returned item.
  • Arrangements will be made for replacement of your damaged item at no cost to you. Please note that your original product lead time may apply for a replacement.
  • We will instruct you on how or if to return the damaged product for replacement or refund
  • Refunds will only be issued once the original package is received back in our warehouse

Starlight Lighting reserves the right to refuse or issue a refund/replacement item in the event that the item is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions or if the problem is due to normal wear and tear.

Damages or defects reported after 30 days will be subject to review and will be available for replacement only, subject to the manufacturer's warranty.

Starlight Lighting may at any time limit the number of delivery attempts based on unfavorable delivery history resulting from, but not limited to, damage, loss, or theft.

The only warranties applying to items sold are those which may be offered by the manufacturer. We hereby expressly disclaim merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We reserve the right to charge or invoice you for any item not returned which we have provided prepaid return labels for.
